A leading manufacturing organization in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia is hiring an experienced Automation Engineer with expertise in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). The selected candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and improving automation solutions that enhance production efficiency, warehouse operations, and overall business performance. Working closely with production, IT, and supply chain teams, the Automation Engineer will help drive operational excellence through advanced automation technologies.

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and supporting automation systems that improve manufacturing and warehouse performance while ensuring system reliability and operational efficiency.

Primary responsibilities include:

Design, develop, and deploy Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) automation solutions.
Analyze manufacturing workflows and warehouse operations to identify automation opportunities.
Collaborate with production, logistics, IT, engineering, and supply chain departments to deliver integrated automation projects.
Configure, optimize, and maintain automation software for manufacturing facilities.
Troubleshoot automation systems and resolve technical issues to minimize production downtime.
Perform system integration, testing, commissioning, and performance validation.
Create technical documentation, operating procedures, and system reports.
Provide end-user training and technical guidance to maximize system performance.
Monitor automation processes and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
Stay updated with the latest Industry 4.0, Smart Manufacturing, Industrial IoT (IIoT), and automation technologies.

Required Qualifications

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Automation Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Proven experience implementing or supporting WMS, MES, or industrial automation systems within a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, warehouse management, and production planning.
Experience with automation software, system integration, PLC interfaces, industrial communication protocols, or related automation technologies.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities with experience working across multiple departments.
Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high-quality standards.
Willingness to work full-time in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
